The visit will include the location of the Battle of Marengo, its headquarters, the Fontanone where they fearlessly resisted the assault of the Austrians, and the Marengo Park with the Museum and Villa Delavo. Lunch not included. In the afternoon visit to Palazzo Ghilini, Napoleon’s favorite residence, and a walk through the historic center to the Citadel which saw the Austrian Headquarters under the command of General Melas and for which the Great Leader had several projects carried out.
During the day’s visit, it will be possible to taste the dishes that were born in that period: “Pollo alla Marengo” and “Polenta del Marengo” (De.Co. brand of excellence) prepared for Napoleon during the famous battle.

Arrival in Rosignano Monferrato, whose territory is part of “Il Monferrato degli Infernot” a UNESCO heritage site since 2014. Located in a privileged position to defend the territory, it will give you breathtaking landscapes of the surrounding hills, the Uviglie Castle and Cella Monte. Panoramic tour of the village, visit to the three Municipal Infernot, two of which are inside the Town Hall, visit to the Salone Ideal with the reconstruction of the luthier Angelo Morano’s workshop, the Library and the Historical Archive. Stop at the Rosignanese Artisan Exhibit, where you will see at work the local Artisans who are Masters of embroidery, wood carving and of pietra da cantoni processing, a type of calcarenite stone once used for civil and religious buildings. Transfer to the Stevani district for lunch at a farmhouse, famous for the production of honey, jams and marmalades, which can be purchased in the shop near the restaurant.
The day ends with the Morbellian route: Angelo Morbelli was one of the greatest exponents of Italian Divisionism. Through a pleasant walk through the hills you will follow an extraordinary route thanks to the panels positioned in the places he reproduced in his works. The route ends at Villa Maria, where the painter stayed and painted the Rosignano hills.
The villa is still the residence of his heirs and can be visited upon reservation. Possibility to end the route with a stop at the Big Bench “Rosso Grignolino” with tasting in the cellar (not included in the fee)
